Info
-
Our fabrics don’t contain PFOS, PFOA, lead, dioxins, heavy metals, BPA, or phthalates. They aren’t made with super absorbent polymers, so their quality and super absorbency don’t fade with time.
-
Super soft and super absorbent, this heavyweight, single-sided microfiber fleece has small absorbent fibers on one side and a flat back.
-
When cutting, use a sharp knife or scissors as the fabric can easily fray. If you prefer to pre-wash, serge all sides to prevent unraveling of threads. Pre-washing is optional; it won’t hurt the fabric, but it isn’t necessary.
-
CPSIA certified, meeting stringent standards by the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission on lead and phthalates and flammability.
-
All Zorb fabrics are designed with the ability to exponentially increase their absorbency; using multiple layers of Zorb for your product will significantly increase its already impressive absorption capacity.
Super Absorbency
Our Zorb Microfiber Fleece Fabric is so absorbent that it can soak up eight times its weight in less than two seconds. It works 20 times faster than materials like bamboo, cotton, and hemp knits. The fibers are constructed to distribute moisture and hold that moisture within the fabric.
Easy to Use
This fabric does not require pre-washing, so you can start on your project quickly. When creating your product, it’s good to cut the fabric with a sharp knife or a pair of scissors since the material can easily fray.
Ideal Uses
Our Zorb Microfiber Fleece Fabric is a heavyweight, single-sided microfiber terry type material.
The fabric is ideal for activewear, bathrobes, bibs, cage liners, cloth diapers, dog diapers, menstrual pads, mop pads, nursing pads, period panties, pet potty pads, towels, unpaper towels, washcloths, and yoga towels.
If you need soft fabric that will get the job done, this is what you need!

Important Note about UPF Ratings:
Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) indicates how much UV radiation (both UVB and UVA) a fabric allows to reach your skin. For example, a UPF 50 fabric blocks 98 % of the sun’s rays and allows 2% (1/50th) to penetrate, thus reducing your exposure risk significantly. A UPF 30 fabric blocks 97% of UV rays and allows roughly 3% of UV transmission. UPF 15 indicates that the fabric blocks roughly 93% of UV rays and allows about 7% of available UV radiation to pass through.
UPF 10 to 30 = Fair Protection
UPF 30 to 50 = Good Protection
UPS 50 = Excellent Protection

❗
Additional Care Instructions:
-
It is not recommended to pre-wash before sewing. If you prefer to pre-wash, serge (or sew/finish) all open edges to prevent unraveling of threads. However it is recommended to wash before using it.
-
Liquid detergent is preferred over powder because there is a chance that the powder will not dissolve completely and in that case the powder will be stored inside the microfiber. This risk is compounded if cold water is used. Remember, microfibers tend to hold everything, so use half the quantity of detergent you would normally use.
-
Never wash with fabric softeners. The microfiber will accumulate the softeners and over a period of time, will be saturated with it, reducing its efficiency.
-
Never wash the microfiber with other terry or other fabric which has lint. The microfiber will treat lint or any other fibers and dirt particles and store the particles inside the microfiber reducing its efficiency.
-
Do not wash with anything sharp or with anything that has hook tape. Sharp objects can snag the fleece and cause them to run. Hook tape will attach to the fleece and tear the fabric.
-
Never dry the microfiber in a dryer on high heat. It could actually melt the fibers with excessive heat and lock the traps. Dry on low heat and permanent press is the best setting.
